Why vary the wording?
We are very proud of the fact that, for well over a decade, we are highly unlikely
to have produced even two identically worded letters on the same subject.
However, we are occasionally asked why we bother to vary the wording of the letters.
The reason is that 'form letters' are easily recognised as such by the recipient
governments and consequently have far less impact, however much one tries to 'tweak'
them. We regard it as self-evident
that unique letters are vastly superior, other things being equal.
Imagine 100 people in a room each being asked to write letters based on the same
information - typically an Amnesty case sheet as printed in the magazine.
They would all write broadly similar letters but with considerable variations in
detail and certainly none of them identity worded. This is
exactly what we achieve, with only a small team but a great deal of technical wizardry.
We have developed and honed our own system 'in house' over many years and it is
the only one of its kind in the world - truly unique.
We go to enormous lengths to maintain the highest standards and we naturally have
to train and employ highly skilled specialist staff. Despite this, we are
able to offer letters
very inexpensively and, for those who assemble their own letters using our DIY letters
facility, entirely free of charge.
